Since 2017, MIAS Groupe has brought Isabel’s Colombian roots, shaped by cumbia and Afro-Caribbean rhythms, into dialogue with contemporary sounds and the musical influences of the musicians who join her.
Two worlds brought together through music
MIAS Groupe was created in Switzerland in 2017 from an idea Isabel had carried since childhood: bringing together her Latin American roots and the musical world she discovered in Europe. She shared the project with Spanish guitarist Carlos García and Swiss double bassist Cédric Gysler. MIAS has been her stage name since her teenage years in Colombia and is formed from the initials of Maria Isabel Arango Santacoloma. Over the years, the project has evolved. In 2026, MIAS Groupe opens a new chapter with a permanent team of musicians and a Latin-tropical and urban identity.
Latin-tropical and urban fusion
Sung mainly in Spanish, the MIAS Groupe repertoire gives familiar songs new colors — a rock song may become a cumbia — and also features several original compositions. On stage, tropical rhythms and contemporary sounds come together in a festive atmosphere, full of energy and connection with the audience.

MIAS Groupe is built around four permanent musicians who develop a Latin-tropical and urban repertoire together. Depending on the venue and the event, the band can also perform as a trio.

A lineup adapted to your event
MIAS Groupe adapts its format to the venue and the event, as a trio or with four musicians. The length of the concert and the technical requirements are agreed with the organizer.
